Every woman has her own ritual — I do mine in the morning. The idea for this painting came spontaneously, in an ordinary moment of colouring my lips in front of a mirror.
The lip fragment, laconic drawing and vibrant colours bring it close to pop art. But there's a twist: the golden yellow background is borrowed from icon painting — turning an everyday beauty gesture into something almost sacred. A bold accent for a living room, a studio, or a beauty salon.
