In A New Guise explores transformation, identity and concealment through repetition and disruption. An ornate Art Deco inspired pattern creates a sense of elegance and order, while dark interruptions disturb the surface and suggest something hidden beneath it. The work considers how identities, memories and histories can change appearance while continuing to exist in altered forms.
