One Square at a Time Print - Building the Whole through texture print

‘One Square at a Time’ is a grid of 16 textured panels, each one its own little landscape. Thick paint is built up in ridges and swirls — deep blues, forest greens, burnt reds, and bursts of gold and yellow. The white lines between them act like windows, frames, or panes, holding the chaos in place. No two squares are the same. Some are heavy with dark brown and blue, others flare up with red and yellow like sunlight breaking through leaves.

Emotional & Sensory Details
The grid gives safety and order, but inside each cell the paint is free, impulsive, and layered. It’s like looking at the same scene through 16 different moods, or 16 different days. Together they make a whole that’s rich and grounding. It’s about finding calm in repetition, and beauty in the small variations that happen when you let yourself go, one square at a time.
