Not in a Line - A scattered, grounded and free piece of textured wall art

‘Not in a Line’ is quiet, tactile, and full of small decisions. The surface is built up in thick, creamy white — troweled, dragged, and smoothed until it feels like skin or plaster. You can see every pull of the tool, every ridge and dip. Against that soft field, dark wood and black squares are placed without a pattern. Some sit flush, some tilt. They’re firm and defined, breaking through the softness without trying to control it.

Emotional & Sensory Details
It’s about finding anchor points in a sensory world. The texture is constant, a little overwhelming, and grounding all at once. Then the squares arrive — little moments of clarity, boundaries, or rules we set for ourselves. They don’t have to line up or match to matter. They just need to exist. The beauty is in that balance: the messy, handmade ground holding the sharp, intentional pieces. Calm and disruption, together.
