Embedded Light - A path of colour through texture print

‘Embedded Light’ is split into two worlds that still talk to each other. On the left, a thick, textured white field holds a curved trail of colored glass and acrylic shards — blues, purples, yellows, reds, and clear pieces catching the light. The surface is uneven, almost like snow or rough plaster, so the gems sit embedded and raised. The line they make sweeps from bottom left to top right, like a path, a spine, or a constellation.

On the right, a deep cobalt panel moves the other way. Bold white brushstrokes cut diagonally across the blue, quick and gestural, like wind, scratches, or signals. It’s smoother but just as energetic.


Emotional & Sensory Details
The need for texture and colour that you can feel with your hands, next to the need for strong contrast and direction. One side collects the bright pieces and keeps them. The other side makes a clear sweep through the dark. It’s about holding both — the fragmented, beautiful bits and the forward motion that carries them.
