I live by the coast, and this is an inspiration for much of my work - the way the tide comes in across the shoreline, the rocks and stones along the beach, the shifting sand. I am fascinated with what is brought in by the tide, what is washed away and what remains, the ever-changing shoreline. I see parallels in how this can be applied to our own experiences and memory. This mark making and then subtracting is what informs my process. My work is mostly abstract and non-representational, it's about feeling rather than seeing. I hope it makes you feel something too.
