This abstract composition presents a layered blend of earthy tones—greens, browns, and yellows—interwoven with delicate, hand-drawn botanical elements that add subtle contrast. Textured patches and splashes of paint create a dynamic sense of depth, while occasional hints of text break through to introduce an urban touch. The interplay between organic lines and geometric shapes conveys a tension between nature and structure. A distinctive piece to enhance any contemporary interior with quiet complexity.

“Green escape” is one of a series of 3 paintings inspired by spring – with a nod to my husband’s constant battle with the invasive weed angelica.
The original is a layered mixed media work on a deep cradled wood panel. Media includes acrylic, collage, charcoal, graphite, ink (and perhaps some others I’ve forgotten in the heat of the moment!).

About the Artist
Welcome to my printshop!
Strongly influenced by my environment – you will see the influence of the salt marsh in my work–foggy abstracts, scratchy plants. More than what you can see though, my work is filled with the emotions that are evoked by my love of nature-I hope the viewer will "feel" the work.
