Play it Loud - A Visual Anthem in Vinyl and Neon

‘Play It Loud’ is a love letter to music, but messy and alive. Real 7-inch vinyls and CDs are layered on a white canvas — Leo Sayer records with those bright yellow Chrysalis labels, a Carpenters CD, and a "Shang-a-Lang: The Seventies" compilation. They overlap and tilt, like records pulled from a crate and stacked without care.

Bold black musical notes and lines sweep across the bottom and right edge, hand-painted and a bit rough. Then electric green and yellow paint is splashed and dripped all over everything, cutting across the labels and discs.

Emotional & Sensory Details
Music as sensory memory, as joy you can touch. The objects are nostalgic, specific, rooted in the 70s sound, but the paint makes them urgent and now. It’s not about keeping records pristine on a shelf. It’s about playing them loud, getting paint on them, letting the feeling spill out. The green splatters are the energy of the song hitting you — unpredictable, bright, and impossible to contain. It’s about holding onto the music that shaped you, and celebrating it with full-body colour.
