A figure runs through red—muscles tense, body coiled, sprinting toward something just out of frame. But look at the eyes: focused, yes, but also distant, automatic. We chase goals with everything we have, convinced they're ours, that we chose them. But how many are actually someone else's finish line? Parents' expectations, society's scorecards, the endless noise telling us what success is supposed to look like. The runner doesn't stop to ask—he just runs, driven by momentum that started before he did. For anyone who's ever wondered if they're chasing their dream or just running because everyone else is.
Title translation: "Ziel" = "Goal" or "Target"

About the Artist

My abstracted paintings reflect engagement with modern life — both its liberating and destructive forces. On closer inspection, references to the critical issues of our time emerge. Art is perception and emotion, and therefore inevitably political.
Intuition and improvisation form the background, contrasted by figurative elements that question complexity and, in doing so, themselves: origin, being, and becoming. This tension invites viewers into personal reflection and dialogue.
A central theme is the man as protagonist in modern life — ambition, desire, love, mortality, and the mystery of masculinity.
