About the Artist
Markus Hermannsdorfer is a highly visually oriented artist whose work stems from a lifelong pursuit of true freedom. His works have been exhibited at ArtMUC, Art Miami, the Alma Gallery in Athens, Athene Art, the Pinacothèque Luxembourg, and the Gällerie Stuttgart, among other venues.
His paintings are characterized by a strong emphasis on minimalism, monochromatic aesthetics, and architectural geometry, often capturing the interplay between human action and the environment. The artist deliberately filters out distractions to focus on form and contrast, creating a quiet tension between people and the world in which they live.
Since 2013, Markus Hermannsdorfer has been creating commissioned works for hotels and tour operators, thereby combining his passion for travel with a consistent personal artistic vision. Prior to that, he studied photography and design at the California College of the Arts.
His thirst for freedom and his pursuit of the highest possible artistic expression have taken Markus Hermannsdorfer to 154 countries so far and to places that most people will never see.
