After working for 40-plus years in publishing, digital architecture, and graphic design, I have reverted to my true passion—painting—with renewed vigor and a profound perspective shaped by decades of visual exploration. As a proud working class self-taught artist, I harness my extensive graphic design background to vividly convey the dynamic interplay between the natural world and the built environment.

‍While the Italian Futurist movement deeply influences my work, I continually evolve my style, drawing inspiration from broader movements like Orphic Cubism, Synchromism, and Cubism. The Precisionists, especially Georgia O’Keeffe’s iconic New York Skyscrapers, first ignited my fascination and led me to discover extraordinary architectural forms that explore the fluid boundaries between the organic and the artificial. However, the historical weight of local artist JMW Turner and the magnetic pull of my immediate riverside location next to the Thames in Brentford have clearly shaped my subject matter in the last year.
