“Color, Culture and Migration” \ “Color, Cultura y Migración”

The perception of everyday life is never singular. It shifts according to the eyes that observe it, acquiring new meanings through the cultural framework that shapes and nurtures each individual. This pictorial project emerges from an ongoing investigation into color and the ways in which our social structure, the country in which we are born or choose to live, and the environment that surrounds us influence how we perceive, interpret, and ultimately inhabit color. This series of portraits explores color as a phenomenon inseparable from culture and from the many forms of migration that define our lives. These migrations are not solely geographical; they are also intellectual, emotional, cultural, and spiritual. The work reflects on our contemporary condition and on the way we coexist with a natural order that continuously creates, transforms, and evolves. As a species, we often believe we hold control over our surroundings, yet in reality we occupy only a small place within a far greater process that has always existed beyond us.
