The original painting was pretty striking with heaps of fluid airbrushed lines. It was a bit intense. I liked it, but was probably a bit much in its complexity. So, it offered a perfect chance to try again and have a bit of fun with the lines and shapes. I intentionally left some of the original painting in the background so you could see what I was working with.
The top jagged shapes are pretty cool. They remind me of the sawtooth warehouses you see in Fremantle. The colours feel very seasonal, like a well manicured autumn garden.
I like the new energy this piece now brings. The title would be a good word for Scrabble too!

About the Artist
