About the Artist
Own a piece of Kate Shaw's world. These limited edition prints bring her extraordinary vision within reach, in editions of just 60 per size. Available in four sizes, from intimate to grand each edition can adapt to your desire: homes, offices and commercial spaces alike.
Kate Shaw is one of Australia's leading contemporary artists, celebrated for her large-scale acrylic pour and resin landscapes. Molten, otherworldly and hypnotic, her work draws on geological forces, climate anxiety and the sublime, and it turns the tension between nature and the psychological, spiritual and ecological forces shaping it into something you can feel.
Over more than 20 years, her work has travelled across Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States, from Mirus Gallery in San Francisco to The Cat Street Gallery in Hong Kong, and on the touring exhibition Black Mist Burnt Country. It hangs in Parliament House, Artbank, Bendigo Art Gallery, Rockhampton Art Gallery and Freshfields, London.
Winner of the 2018 Tattersalls Club Prize and a five-time Wynne Prize finalist, Shaw has also been shortlisted for the Glover, Arthur Guy, McGivern, Len Fox and Hadley prizes. Her work has drawn attention from The New Yorker, Artlink, Art Collector and Harper's Bazaar.
