Rose Haze explores the quieter end of the colour spectrum. Layers of soft pink are built through sweeping gestures and textured marks, creating a surface that feels light, atmospheric and gently luminous. Subtle variations in tone emerge as the eye moves across the painting, while the raised textures catch the light and reveal a delicate sense of movement beneath the surface.

As part of the Experiments With Colour series, this piece examines how a single colour can shift in character through texture, transparency and light. Rather than relying on contrast or intensity, Rose Haze invites a slower experience, where softness becomes the focus and small changes in tone create depth, rhythm and atmosphere.
