About the Artist

Hello, I'm Deby Dearman, an artist, writer, and lifelong observer of the places where beauty and faith meet ordinary life.

My work has taken many forms—from painting and writing to music, and storytelling—but the thread running through all of it is the same: a belief that beauty has something to say.

The Art of Light grew from my love of loose watercolor, expressive ink, music, words, and the small things that illuminate a life—a lamp glowing in the darkness, bread broken at a table, wine poured between friends, a bird singing simply because it can.

Each piece is an invitation to notice, to remember, and perhaps to see something familiar with new eyes.

I live and create in Tennessee with my husband, Kirk.
