Behind this playful mixed media artwork lies a couple of years of revisiting, refining and quietly listening.

During that time I was exploring the disciplined geometry of Piet Mondrian alongside the timeless design principles of the Bauhaus.

Those influences became starting points rather than destinations.

Guided by intuition and the mesmerising music of Swiss pianist and composer Nik Bärtsch, shapes softened, colours shifted and unexpected relationships emerged until the painting became entirely its own.

What may feel bold in isolation can become the element that brings a room together.

"Piet The Minimalist Dropped Into The Bauhaus" was created with that possibility in mind. It has enough colour to make a statement, enough structure to sit comfortably within contemporary interiors, and enough texture and irregularity to reward a closer look.

For interior designers, home stylists and those creating distinctive residential, hospitality or commercial spaces, art can be one of the most personal decisions within a project.

About the Artist

Every painting/artwork begins with a question I cannot answer. It grows through instinct, curiosity and moments I could never have planned. People often ask what the finished work means, yet I believe its truest meaning is found in the space between the painting and the person standing before it. There, memories awaken, emotions shift and new stories quietly emerge. If my work leaves you looking a little longer, feeling something you cannot quite name or discovering a reflection of yourself within the surface, then the conversation has already begun.
