Explore the Art of ‘White Noise’ where this piece of art goes quiet. No colour, no text, no figure. Just white on white. Thick, sculptural lines ripple across the surface like contour lines on a map or sound waves frozen mid pulse. Some channels are smooth and deliberate, piped on with control. Others are rough and scarred, with cracked, peeling texture like dried riverbeds. It is all tonal. The only difference between the lines is depth, light, and shadow. You have to get close to read it. From far away it looks calm. Up close it is all friction and repetition.

Through a neurodivergent’s eyes, this is the baseline. The default state that people mistake for empty. The smooth channels are the scripts. The polite smiles, the rehearsed small talk, the acceptable stim of tapping a pen. They are clean because you have practiced them to death. The rough, cracked channels are what it costs. The sensory processing, the intrusive thoughts, the internal monologue that never stops. That texture is burnout you cannot smooth over. This piece refuses spectacle. After the yellow, the neon, the gold and the chaos, this is what is left when the noise cuts out. It is not peaceful. It is the sound of your nervous system idling. Constant, high frequency, and invisible unless you know what to look for. This is what masking looks like when no one is watching.
