A quiet and atmospheric fine-art print from my ongoing Skomvær series, inspired by the remote landscape of Lofoten, Norway.
In this painting, the Skomvær lighthouse appears in the distance beneath a vast, luminous sky. Soft grey-blue clouds, muted violet tones and a pale glow over the water create a sense of stillness and spaciousness, while the tiny lighthouse provides a solitary point of focus within the landscape.
The Skomvær series has a deeply personal connection for me. My great-grandmother's diary from 1896–1900 records her experiences connected with Skomvær, and I have been exploring this remote place through watercolour for several years.
This reproduction is made from my original watercolour painting and is available as a premium fine-art paper print, with optional passepartout and natural oak framing.
