About the Artist
My journey as an artist began in 2022 following the loss of my wonderful mum. She was a gifted artist whose creativity inspired everyone around her. When I inherited her art supplies, I also inherited a small part of her artistic legacy. What began as a way to feel close to her soon became a passion that has completely transformed my life.
Determined to develop my skills, I began taking lessons with a professional artist and I am now studying for an HNC in Contemporary Art & Contextualised Studies at UHI Inverness. Every day is an opportunity to learn, experiment and grow as an artist, and I am constantly inspired to push my creativity further. Art has become so much more than a hobby, it's an obsession in the very best sense. I love the process of creating, discovering new techniques, and finding fresh ways to tell stories through paint and and mixed media. My work is often inspired by the beauty and characters of animals, the grace and movement of dancers, and more recently the iconic historical cairns, buildings and landscapes that hold deep meaning and stir the heart.
Every piece I create carries a little of my journey, one that began with loss but has grown into something full of hope, purpose and connection. I hope my artwork not only brings you beauty into your home but also evokes memories, emotions and a sense of place that speaks to you personally.
Thank you for supporting my work and for being part of this continuing journey. Every painting is created with love, dedication and a desire to keep learning, growing and honouring the creative spirit that first inspired me.
