About the Artist
Radiant Canopy is a collection of digital drawings inspired by a deep love and fascination with the beauty and wonders of the vegetable world.
This work is influenced by botanical illustration manuals, whose fundamental purpose was to study and catalogue the species of the "new worlds". As a secondary effect, those images also function as gateways to distant places, evoking a sense of longing for the remote and the unknown. In this work, this fragmented nature emerges against a dark backdrop, as if offering a glimpse into something otherwise concealed, suddenly illuminated.
