Oil Painting on Canvas 1976 - app. 25 x 21 cm (framed)
Art style
The painting is done in the style of realism with impressionistic influences (home or landscape painting of the 20th century). The focus is on a natural, atmospheric depiction of rural idyll. The painting can also be associated with late impressionism with elements of naive art. The emphasis is on a heavily textured, high-contrast portrayal of nature without a strictly academic sense of depth.
Picture description
A bright blue stream winds from the center of the image to the left foreground. On the left bank stands a gnarled tree, partly covered in moss, with dark branches stretching across the water. On the right, a dense forest extends, with vertical tree trunks fading into the mist in the background. The forest floor and undergrowth are painted in a strong, almost mosaic-like patchwork of light green and yellow. Signed by W. Schneider.
Image Analysis
Composition: The image uses the diagonal of the stream and the crossing branch to set a dynamic lead against the flat background.
Color: There is a strong warm-cold contrast between the intense turquoise blue of the water and the toxic green to yellowish tones of the forest floor.
Texture (Brushwork): The paint application is extremely thick (impasto) and stippled, giving leaves, moss, and tree bark a tangible, almost relief-like three-dimensionality.
Lighting: The light seems to diffuse from the back right through the trees, making the rear trunks appear as silhouettes.
Framing: The wide, dark brown frame with a gold inner lip gives the small, detailed picture a heavy and classical setting.

Öl auf Leinwand 1976 - ca. 25 x 21 cm (gerahmt)
Kunststil

About the Artist
Hello dear art friends!
I’m Walter from Germany and a lover of contemporary art. Nowadays, the creative possibilities with digital graphics and image editing programs have become a true enrichment for creative inspiration.
That’s why my motto, "We’ll see each other in another world," has become so vivid.
This applies especially to the surrealist and geometric art styles. Art is a lifelong passion for me, and I enjoy creating creativity in my free time.
Classical paintings with Acryl, Oil, Airbrush, Silk or Pencil are also in my portfolio and posted only in my Gallery linked by "Welcome to Walter's Gallery!"
