This mixed media artwork, Son of Science, was created while immersed in my brother Andrew's experimental album of the same name.
The tenth track became almost a meditation as I listened to it again and again, allowing each layer to evolve naturally. Instrumental music has always been an essential part of my creative process.
It allows me to paint emotion rather than description, responding to rhythm, atmosphere, and energy instead of subject matter.
This work became a visual response to sound, atmosphere, rhythm, and emotion rather than melody.

About the Artist
Every painting/artwork begins with a question I cannot answer. It grows through instinct, curiosity and moments I could never have planned. People often ask what the finished work means, yet I believe its truest meaning is found in the space between the painting and the person standing before it. There, memories awaken, emotions shift and new stories quietly emerge. If my work leaves you looking a little longer, feeling something you cannot quite name or discovering a reflection of yourself within the surface, then the conversation has already begun.
