Fragments of Procida, a small island off the coast of Naples, emerge through layers of colour, texture, and gestural marks. Two of my own photographs are embedded in the work, becoming visual traces of a place remembered rather than depicted. Balconies, sunlit walls and fleeting glimpses of everyday life drift between the recognisable and the abstract – a memory of summer, transformed through paint.
