About the Artist

Beatrice (Bea)  Garcia, diver, artist, has been living in Paris, France for many years. 

On her free time, she is an active underwater photographer and artist. She loves the ocean and all sea creatures with a passion. 

Her underwater photos serve as her inspiration for her oil and acrylic paintings. 

Her creativity comes from her vivid memories of each dive in diverse locations such as: the Philippines, the Red Sea, Maldives, Indonesia, Hawaii and other locations.....

Using her underwater experiences as inspiration, she recently created a series of oil and acrylic paintings entitled ‘Sea World Dreams’.

Bea had her first underwater experience in the cold waters of British Columbia, Canada where she received her PADI Open Water Diver certification in 1988. Work obligations and a relocation project prevented her to continue scuba diving and she let her passion behind for more than 10 years. 

In 2013, after relocating to Paris, France, she got re-certified once again and has been diving ever since! Her underwater certifications include: PADI Open Water, Advanced Diver, Drift Diving, DVP (scootering) and Underwater Photography.

In 2025, with over 1000 underwater photos, she decided to express herself on canvas using acrylics and oils. 

Her collection of underwater photos now translate into a new form of expression, express her underwater experiences over the years.

Bea’s work is truly unique and one could say is a ‘fusion of reality and fantasy’.
