Where the Light Rested is a commanding, large-scale statement piece inspired by the fleeting, spectral aftermath of a storm - the lingering shadow of a rainbow.
The composition is anchored by a deep, atmospheric backdrop of rich teal, indigo, and turquoise, reminiscent of an encroaching twilight or a heavy, moisture-laden sky. Emerging from this profound depth are fractured, vibrant bursts of colour that mimic light breaking through a prism. Cascading vertical textures evoke the gentle movement of rainfall or clearing mist, pulling the eye downward through layers of hidden luminescence.
This piece serves as a poetic meditation on change, capturing the exact, quiet moment after a brilliant phenomenon fades and leaves its memory behind.
