Painting on Silk 1991 - Painting app. 60 x 40 cm (framed app. 80 x 60 cm, with passepartout)

Art style
This is silk painting using the gutta technique (also called the outline technique), which, with its flowing color transitions and the separating, often shiny contour lines, has a very decorative, illustrative, and slightly surreal character.

Picture description
The painting shows an open louvered window in a brick wall, framed by autumn leaves and large cup-shaped flowers. The view looks out onto a hilly landscape with flying birds under a dark, cloudy sky. A bright, double rainbow stretches across the scene.

Image analysis
Composition: Symmetrical structure thanks to the central window, which acts as a frame within a frame to guide the view.
Color & Light: Contrast between the warm earth tones of the wall/leaves and the cool, mystical blue and rainbow colors.
Texture: Typically smooth silk texture with soft color flows within the sharp gutta contour lines.
Perspective: Central perspective view from inside looking out, creating depth and spaciousness.

Order
Option: Unframed, with passepartout
Alternative option: framed (black) with same passepartout  (Please ask for different price)

About the Artist

Hello dear art friends!

I’m Walter from Germany and a lover of contemporary art. Nowadays, the creative possibilities with digital graphics and image editing programs have become a true enrichment for creative inspiration.
That’s why my motto, "We’ll see each other in another world," has become so vivid.
This applies especially to the surrealist and geometric art styles. Art is a lifelong passion for me, and I enjoy creating creativity in my free time.
Classical paintings with Acryl, Oil, Airbrush, Silk or Pencil are also in my portfolio and posted only in my Gallery linked by "Welcome to Walter's Gallery!"
