Olli - coming in for a hug.
Olli the Orang-Utan (incidentally among the most intelligent of great apes), is coming out of the jungle inviting you in for a hug. There might even be a little kiss forming on his lips, or maybe he is blowing you said kiss.
The original acrylic on canvas painting, 150 x 150cm (sold), was deeply satisfying to create. Capturing the intelligence, gentleness, kindness and curiosity was a challenge, and it seems to have been achieved. This is one of the best selling signed limited edition prints (one is still available - contact me at art@alainvangils.com), and it gives me great pleasure to be able to make this painting (print) available to a wider audience.
Olli brings gives any space a bright and inviting energy. An approachable and open spiritedness is sent forth by Olli and has a soothing yet playful effect on the space.
This print:
- Acid- and lignin-free and made to last.
- The natural finish enhances vibrancy and depth.
- Textured matte surface that enhances depth without losing clarity.
- Handmade wooden frame from Italy.
Also available as a print on canvas here on Printumo and as a signed limited edition via art@alainvangils.com

About me
First, a heartfelt welcome to my Printumo site.
I have a deep passion for the Animal Kingdom, and want to share the possibility of hanging my bold, expressive and above all colourful, Animal Portraits on your walls.
I have had many requests from people who don't have the space (most of my paintings are very large) or the investment required for either an original painting or signed limited edition print for an alternative option.
In Printumo I have found that option and I'm very pleased to be able to share my passion with a wider audience.
These high quality canvas and paper prints will bring joy, a smile and colour to your personal space, and I thank you for your custom.
