Artist Statement
“Photography has always been about fixing the world in place, but we don’t live in fixed things. We live in movement, in half-memory, in sensation.
Developed over fifteen years across abstract painting and photography, my practice is about that gap. Using intentional camera movement and long exposure, real places become something less like evidence and more like lived time.
Psychology tells us that seeing is an active process. We complete what we see. The work leans heavily into that process, not to be vague, but to make room. The camera records light, the viewer completes the experience.
