Beneath an enormous tree, a tiny village glows into life.
Its crooked houses gather beneath twisting green branches, their windows lit against a sky of gold, rust and midnight blue. High above them, a lone bird keeps watch.
To me, Where Wishes Take Root is about the quiet beginnings of things we hope for. The dreams we carry long before anyone else can see them. The ideas that start small, take root, and slowly become worlds of their own.
Perhaps this village grew beneath the tree. Perhaps the tree grew to protect the village. Or perhaps both appeared together, somewhere imagination decided they belonged.
Like every Storytree, Where Wishes Take Root began with a tree and became a world of its own.

I’m Elena Paige, a children’s fantasy author and artist with a lifelong fascination with imagination, hidden worlds, and trees.
Every painting I create begins with a tree. Some become doorways. Some hold entire worlds. Some seem to grow from dreams, memories, possibility, or places that don’t quite exist anywhere except in my imagination.
I call them Storytrees.
Although I’m best known for creating magical worlds in books, painting gives me another way to explore those same ideas without words. Each Storytree is an original artwork, created intuitively and filled with color, texture, movement, and a little mystery.
My hope is simply that when one of these pieces hangs in your home, it makes you pause, wonder, imagine, and perhaps see something different each time you look at it.
Welcome to Storytree.
