- I created this piece with the *Gentlemen Bastards* novels in mind, setting it within the universe inhabited by the Company of Wanderers. The creature accompanying the couple is one of the monsters I created for the setting: a Feral Cage – that is, a necromantic construct fashioned from an animal’s skull into which magical runes are engraved. The creature thus summoned devours and imprisons souls, making it ideal for a ghost hunt.
