About the Artist
Art has been a quiet thread running through my life - one of the few subjects that truly captured my imagination in my school years. From my earliest days walking the hills around Edinburgh to later journeys through distant mountains, rainforests and deserts, I have always felt a deep pull toward the natural world. That sense of wonder guided me into a long and joyful career in outdoor adventure - a life lived close to the land, weather and light.
My paintings are rooted in these experiences: the shifting moods of Scottish skies and seas, the textures of wild places, and the fleeting moments that speak of movement and stillness. Each piece draws on memories from my travels across 52 countries, each landscape offering its own palette of colours, shapes and stories.
