This is what regulation looks like for me.
For a neurodivergent brain, the world can feel like too much at once - too loud, too fast, too unstructured. This painting is how I find calm. The grid is my structure, my anchor. The soft taupe blocks are the pause, the white space where my mind can breathe. And the gold underneath - that flash of texture and light breaking through - is the joy and focus that comes when I finally feel safe enough to be present.
Art Without Labels is about removing the pressure to be "normal" or to explain yourself. The blocks aren't perfect, they overlap, they leave gaps, they cover each other. Just like how we mask, then reveal, then mask again. There is no right way to look at it, no right way to feel it. It's art that holds you, not art that tries to fix you.
