Mixed Media Acrylic Collage In Floating Box Frame. The frame has been whimsically painted to compliment the painting. This vibrant, layered work is a tender introspection stitched from memory, emotion, and diverse visual languages. A portrait not just of a face, but of a life woven fro joy, longing, and connection. At it's centre, a stylised, ethereal face emerges softly from pale, washed layers of muted sky-blue and blush, it's features distilled into bold, poetic marks: vivid cerulean eyes like open windows of a soul, a slash of warm rose for a cheek, and lips in deep crimson, quiet and relaxed. Spiky crowns of golden-yellow and tangerine rise above-not merely hair, but a halo of vitality. A delicate cross earing hangs delicately, a quiet thread of personal faith or remembrance. Around this central figure, the world blooms in fragments- a joyful gathering of symbols and forms, each conveying it's own heartbeat. Handwritten lines in Spanish- a whispered declaration of love, promises kept between hearts, words that anchor the work in intimate, unspoken devotion.
This is a work of healing and wholeness: it speaks of assembling ourselves from many pieces - strength and softness, wildness and stillness, words spoken and heartfelt. It invites you to see beauty in the unpolished, the personal, and the pieced together - and to recognise that our fragments, when woven with love, make something beautiful and luminous.
