This artwork is part of the “From Age Five” Collection, a personal collection inspired by my daughter’s creativity and imagination.
She drew this original artwork in 2023, when she was only five years old. At that age, she was deeply inspired by drawing portraits of African women. This is the second African woman she created during that special period of her childhood.
The original drawing was created entirely by her at the age of five. I later added the colors and digitally developed the artwork while preserving her original lines, expression, and unique artistic character.
What makes this piece special is the innocence and freedom of a child’s imagination. It captures a moment in her early creative journey and transforms a childhood drawing into a timeless piece of art.
African Women No. 2 is more than an artwork—it is a memory, a beginning, and a celebration of creativity from the age of five.
