Sparsha — touch, connection, closeness.

This intimate composition captures Kamadhenu, the sacred cow gently leaning toward her calf in a moment of tenderness and quiet devotion. Set against a richly textured gold ground, the work explores the universal language of motherhood through the sacred symbolism of the Pichwai tradition.

Developed through a deeply layered digital process, the composition is a result of extensive visual refinement, painterly texture development, and tonal enhancement. The warm golds, saffron hues, and ivory forms create a sense of movement and emotional warmth while retaining the meditative stillness associated with devotional Indian art.

Both contemporary and timeless, Sparsha brings softness, sacredness, and emotional depth into the space it inhabits.

About the Artist

I am a contemporary artist driven by a lifelong fascination with the spiritual, the symbolic and the ancient. Trained in fine arts, I have spent decades developing a practice rooted equally in deep research and painterly instinct.
My subjects are never chosen lightly. Whether drawing from ancient cosmologies, sacred geometry or spiritual traditions spanning cultures and centuries, I immerse myself in the history and meaning of a subject long before the work takes visual form — tracing its origins, understanding its symbols and finding its modern resonance.
The works that emerge are mixed media on canvas — richly layered, hand-finished in oils and acrylics, built with a surface depth that rewards close looking. Each piece carries the weight of what went into it.
Based in the UK, I work with an international collector base and welcome bespoke commissions for those seeking a work created around a specific intention, space or subject.
My paintings are made for spaces and people who value meaning as much as beauty.
