This artwork presents a delicate Great Blue Heron in flight against a textured, muted backdrop of soft blues and pale yellows. The subtle layering and faint markings evoke a quiet coastal atmosphere, blending abstraction with natural forms. Its gentle, ethereal quality brings a sense of calm and contemplation, making it a thoughtful addition to any interior.
Personal note from the artist:
The Great Blue Herons migrate each year to make their nests in the salt marsh beside my home.
I watch them from my studio window – effortlessly gliding over the still water on a foggy day, wading along the shore hunting for their next meal. Their movements are all so graceful and free, and watching them imparts a feeling of serenity.

About the Artist
Welcome to my printshop!
Strongly influenced by my environment – you will see the influence of the salt marsh in my work–foggy abstracts, scratchy plants. More than what you can see though, my work is filled with the emotions that are evoked by my love of nature-I hope the viewer will "feel" the work.
