Tetraktys

The Tetraktys unfolds as an inner cosmology in which the order of the world becomes a reflection of the order of the soul. In the combinatorial spirit of Ramon Lulle, Earth, Water, Air and Fire cease to be mere elements and become the foundations of an ascent leading gradually from matter toward light. Circle, square and triangle govern this progression, giving the richness of its symbols the silent discipline of a sacred architecture.

At the heart of this construction, Salt, Mercury and Sulphur introduce the language of alchemy. They suggest that the true substance of the Great Work may be the human being himself, called to purification, dissolution and renewal. Above them, the Moon and the Sun, associated with Wisdom and Intelligence, establish a dialogue between intuition and reason, fertile darkness and revealing light. The contrast between the depths of blue and the radiance of gold gives visible form to this reconciliation of opposites.

Presiding over the whole composition, the Star becomes the final point of ascent: illumination, fulfilment and unity. Tetraktys is therefore not merely an image to be contemplated; it invites the viewer to journey through it and decipher it as an initiatory map. Between Lullian thought, alchemical heritage and symbolic tradition, the work proposes a demanding vision of knowledge: to understand the world is not enough, for genuine knowledge ultimately requires the transformation of the self.
