Dominic & David. Mythical Bulls.
When I first started this painting, not long ago (Acrylic on Canvas. 195 x 145cm), the original charcoal sketch had only one bull, David front and centre, but once I started painting Dominic surfaced between sessions, from one day to the next as splashes and runs from the background. I tried to ignore it at first thinking I would eventually paint over what was appearing, which never happened. Dominic became an integral aspect and the lone Bull became a run.
This fabulously vibrant and unencumbered painting (print) has so much energy, potency and flamboyance that I always have my eyes drawn to it again and again. It is hard to ignore and would form a commanding centrepiece (at scale) in any room.
That said, a smaller version lacks none of the vivid punch.
The original is available - art@alainvangils.com.
This print:
- Acid- and lignin-free and made to last.
- The natural finish enhances vibrancy and depth.
- Textured matte surface that enhances depth without losing clarity.
- Handmade wooden frame from Italy.

About me
First, a heartfelt welcome to my Printumo site.
I have a deep passion for the Animal Kingdom, and want to share the possibility of hanging my bold, expressive and above all colourful, Animal Portraits on your walls.
I have had many requests from people who don't have the space (most of my paintings are very large) or the investment required for either an original painting or signed limited edition print for an alternative option.
In Printumo I have found that option and I'm very pleased to be able to share my passion with a wider audience.
These high quality canvas and paper prints will bring joy, a smile and colour to your personal space, and I thank you for your custom.
