Meet the Artist: Alli Katri Forsstedt

Alli Katri Forsstedt is a versatile 76-year-old freelance artist, inventor, and multi-talent based in Pajala, Sweden. With a career spanning over 40 years as a sole entrepreneur, her creative journey reflects a lifelong passion for innovation and expression.

After running a successful business in Helsinki from the age of 19, Alli moved to Pajala in 1997 to establish Allikatri Design. Although she officially retired in 2017, her artistic and inventive work continues. Known as a "scrap artist," singer, lyricist, composer, and self-publisher, she is also the mind behind "Sauna Relax" whips, a sustainable product made from recycled plastic.

Alli's creativity extends deeply into her community and international snow art. She has taught ice sculpting for the Pajala municipality and competed globally with excellent results. For 18 years, she also brought joy to local nursing homes by leading singing groups, during which she composed and self-published over 20 original songs.

As Alli beautifully proves: Creativity knows no age.

Alli’s artwork can be found in private collections and public spaces across Kolari (Finland) and Pajala (Sweden). Her art has also been featured globally in digital international exhibitions, including showcases in London, Amsterdam, Madrid, and the USA (2025).
