This collage plays with the idea of reflection and relationship. Two figures appear one above the other, almost like echoes of the same movement or two bodies responding to each other. They are similar, but not identical — like different versions of a gesture.
Behind them runs a dense layer of handwritten lines, a kind of visual stream of thought that fills the background. In the corner, the small word “YOU” introduces a quiet shift: the image suddenly feels like a message, an address, or a conversation.
For me, the piece holds that space between self and other — where identity, memory and connection begin to overlap.

About the Artist
Hello, I’m Vica, an artist based in Glasgow. I create mixed-media artworks and prints using materials such as paper, paint, thread and collage.
My work often combines simple figures, patterns and bold colour fields. I’m interested in how marks, lines and repeated shapes can suggest signals, movement and the ways we find our place within different systems and environments.
Each piece begins as an original handmade artwork, and the prints allow these works to travel into new spaces and homes.
