This collage brings together geometric form and architectural imagery. The cube sits atop a historic building plan from Glasgow, creating a dialogue between structure, space, and imagination.
The simple geometric shape becomes almost like a small constructed object placed within the drawing. I added colour to two sides of the cube to introduce a playful contrast against the monochrome background.
I enjoy working with fragments like these — combining found materials and simple forms to create new spatial relationships.

About the Artist
Hello, I’m Vica, an artist based in Glasgow. I create mixed-media artworks and prints using materials such as paper, paint, thread and collage.
My work often combines simple figures, patterns and bold colour fields. I’m interested in how marks, lines and repeated shapes can suggest signals, movement and the ways we find our place within different systems and environments.
Each piece begins as an original handmade artwork, and the prints allow these works to travel into new spaces and homes.
