Reflektion der Macht - Reflection of Power

(Canvas & Fine Art Print / International Shipping)

Style: The work can be classified as Digital Surrealism and Magical Realism, executed as a metaphysical vector and photo collage with elements of trompe-l'œil.

Interpretation
"Reflection of power" describes the critical consideration of influence and control in the face of the relentless traces of time.
The round mirror captures the reflection of a mighty royal crown and points to the self-presentation and scrutiny of power. The cracked, decaying brick wall in the background represents the impermanence and slow decay of former grandeur. The colorful, lively sphere on the white pedestal serves as a symbol for the fragile Earth, which is at the center of power. The chessboard pattern on the floor is a reminder that power is often a strategic and calculated game with clear rules.

Image Description
A large, circular mirror portal with a metallic frame stands in the center on a three-dimensional chessboard floor. In the foreground, a colorful Earth rests on a white pawn figure, while in the mirror, a monumental, patterned king figure with an eye in the center looms. A heavily textured, weathered brick wall in the background runs seamlessly through the real plane and the mirror's reflection. The upper half of the image decays into a dark, almost monochrome wall surface interspersed with fragments of white texture.

Interpretation
