Henriette the bumblebee
I generally paint portraits of large animals. However following the painting of Ansel, the seahorse, and having always been fascinated by bees, I decided to try my luck and I am very pleased with how she turned out.
I understand it may be challenging to form a connection with Henriette, but once you see her it's hard not to. She espouses all that we often overlook in the animal kingdom; determination, resilience, wonder and simple joy. She is the epitome of what we must cherish and defend.
She brings happiness to every room.
The original is acrylic on canvas, 80 x 80cm and available (art@alainvangils.com)
This print:
- Poly-cotton blend canvas with a matte/satin finish. Scratch, crack, and warp resistant.

About me
First, a heartfelt welcome to my Printumo site.
I have a deep passion for the Animal Kingdom, and want to share the possibility of hanging my bold, expressive and above all colourful, Animal Portraits on your walls.
I have had many requests from people who don't have the space (most of my paintings are very large) or the investment required for either an original painting or signed limited edition print for an alternative option.
In Printumo I have found that option and I'm very pleased to be able to share my passion with a wider audience.
These high quality canvas and paper prints will bring joy, a smile and colour to your personal space, and I thank you for your custom.
