Buck the Humpback Whale
Buck is entering centre-stage right, swimming in with a casual yet powerful movement and about to roll away into the depths.
He exudes a certain perceptiveness and discernment, and always has me asking questions of myself leading to quiet introspection and focus.
The original canvas is 4 metres wide and very imposing (and is still looking for a large home or office perhaps - email me if you have a spot - art@alainvangils.com), yet Buck is quietly comforting at the same time.
A fine addition to any wall.
This print:
- Poly-cotton blend canvas with a matte/satin finish. Scratch, crack, and warp resistant.
- Vibrant, long-lasting colors with water-based HP Latex inks and UV protection.
- Solid wooden frame from renewable sources, 4 cm deep.
Also available as a fine art paper print here on Printumo and signed limited edition via art@alainvangils.com

About me
First, a heartfelt welcome to my Printumo site.
I have a deep passion for the Animal Kingdom, and want to share the possibility of hanging my bold, expressive and above all colourful, Animal Portraits on your walls.
I have had many requests from people who don't have the space (most of my paintings are very large) or the investment required for either an original painting or signed limited edition print for an alternative option.
In Printumo I have found that option and I'm very pleased to be able to share my passion with a wider audience.
These high quality canvas and paper prints will bring joy, a smile and colour to your personal space, and I thank you for your custom.
