The artwork is a collage made with chromatic fragments extracted from recycled magazines, applied to watercolor paper and subsequently digitally transformed. The work is no longer solely abstract; it also speaks of the transformation of matter, the recycling of images and materials, and the dialogue between the analog and the digital.
Ecosystem of visual recycling. The work can be seen as a living organism composed of elements that had a previous life. The colored cutouts already existed in another context; the artistic process grants them a new identity, and the digital intervention amplifies that evolution.
The work represents the cycles of transformation present in nature and in contemporary visual culture.
The work investigates the life cycle of the image in the hybrid analog-digital era. The colors from recycled magazines contribute a prior cultural charge, while the digital manipulation eliminates any recognizable reference and generates a new visual territory where material recycling, media memory, technological transformation, and the reconstruction of meaning converge.
In that sense, the work can be read as a reflection on how images never disappear: they simply change their medium, context, and function.
Crafted using advanced digital techniques, “Ecos en la arena” offers a luminous finish that enhances its palette. The harmonious layering of hues evoke both energy and tranquility, making this artwork a versatile statement piece for modern interiors.
