Phillip the Pot-Bellied Pig
Phillip is a proud pig. He is magnificent, at the very least to himself, and gladly shows off this character trait for all top see.
The looseness with which he was painted (acrylic on canvas, 100 x 70cm ), perhaps stands in contradiction to his outer mien, yet does reflect that he doesn't take himself as seriously as he initially makes out.
Phillip is in fact one of a pair, standing opposite his Vietnamese Pot-Bellied Sow (both very recent paintings and still available - art@alainvangils.com), who I will introduce here once she has been immortalised.
This playful painting (print) will suit any modern or pop-arty interior that doesn't take itself too seriously, yet does ;)
This print:
- Acid- and lignin-free and made to last.
- The natural finish enhances vibrancy and depth.
- Textured matte surface that enhances depth without losing clarity.
- Handmade wooden frame from Italy.
Also available as a print on canvas here on Printumo and as a signed limited edition via art@alainvangils.com

About me
First, a heartfelt welcome to my Printumo site.
I have a deep passion for the Animal Kingdom, and want to share the possibility of hanging my bold, expressive and above all colourful, Animal Portraits on your walls.
I have had many requests from people who don't have the space (most of my paintings are very large) or the investment required for either an original painting or signed limited edition print for an alternative option.
In Printumo I have found that option and I'm very pleased to be able to share my passion with a wider audience.
These high quality canvas and paper prints will bring joy, a smile and colour to your personal space, and I thank you for your custom.
