Crane | Modern Fine Art Print by Agnė Kišonaitė

Crane was my very first painting – a gift to my mother, painted in 2010. Later it became the first of my paintings turned into a handmade linen rug, shown at Domotex in Hanover, IMM Cologne and Maison et Objet in Paris, and in 2015 it won Lithuania's national Good Design award. 

The painting draws on art deco: the grey-green bird in precise brushstrokes, single-colour squares and broken shapes for a modern touch, and a few strokes of red to bring the pale background to life. The crane is ready to fly. The original stays in my family; this print is reproduced from it.
