EXHIBITIONIST is a vibrant, high-energy collage created on a 12-inch record sleeve. Built around a striking main image sourced from a classic House Music magazine, this piece bursts with bold color, dynamic movement, and heavy physical texture.
As part of my collection exploring grief and healing through art, the central figure's eyes are deliberately covered, symbolising the disorienting phase of grief when you feel blind to the path ahead and unable to see the direction in front of you. Strips of tape, spray paint, paper layers, and fragments of my old original artwork build a chaotic yet electric surface. A single diamante teardrop cuts through the bright energy, pulling that hidden, vulnerable emotion straight out of the piece.
EXHIBITIONIST captures the tension between putting on a bold front for the world while navigating internal uncertainty. I have now decided to give these deeply personal works a new home where their stories can live on.
