The name behind Noblis by Mai. There is something enduring in him. A dignity that does not fade with time.
High Nobility was not only a horse — he was presence, character, and quiet strength. This piece is created from one of the photographs that have stayed with me through the years, an image I have returned to time and time again. From that same series, another work was also born. It also serves as an example of commissioned portrait work.
Executed in pastel with a watercolor background, in the technique that defines much of my work, this piece moves between softness and power — between memory and form.
Created with reference to a photograph taken in 2017 by the talented Finnish photographer Tiia Tahvanainen.
High Nobility is available as a limited edition fine art paper print or canvas, both offered exclusively as a ready-to-hang framed piece.
A tribute to presence.
To connection.
To a horse whose name carries meaning.
